A nice riverside rest area with benches, through an alleyway from a quiet residential street.
At least it used to be before the Feb 2011 quake. You can still see the pavement for the alleyway, and you can also see some remains of the benches left. I thought I can at least repurpose them as a place to hide a cache. Aren't you tired finding all those nanos and micros under benches in Christchruch lately? Unrolling and rolling those tiny logbooks only to find out they are full?
Then this one is for you - a regular sized cache under a bench what's left of it. Plenty of room for trinkets to trade, and most importantly - you can finally drop off that pesky trackable you have been carrying around that doesn't seem to quite fit in the screwtop bottles. Cache is a 2L sistema container.
Access is flat and easy, but T2 because you might need to duck under a shrub and might get your knees dirty while retrieving...
