Geocache Description:

Please READ for Important Information Needed

Welcome to the Millennium Falcon Geoart. This will consist of 65 rather simple puzzles to find the final coordinates.

The “Millennium Falcon” Geoart series is found along a wide road (Powerline/Railroad 🛤 Grade) that cuts straight through a remote part of the park -  hikers 🚶‍♀‍ and bikers 🚴‍♀‍ only for public access.

The road is access to several of the hiking trails to the primitive campsites (Bee Island, Honore, Panther Point, Oak Grove and Prairie)

The road does have patches of rocks, hard packed and soft sand that requires you to push the bike 🚲 through. There are also some areas where water covers the road and you have to ride or push the bike trough it as well. But a majority of the road can be ridden by bike 🚲. A mountain bike with the larger tires is recommended for this run.

The trail is accessed via  the power line gate or one of the other access points within the park. Parking at one of the gates on SR72 is not permitted. Cars parked there may be ticketed or even towed!

Also it is a good idea to let them know at the Ranger Station at the Main Gate that you will be hiking/biking this run just in case there is a problem so they can come and find you and/or notify the correct authorities in case of emergencies.

Either way you go, hiking 🚶‍♂‍ or 🚴‍♂‍ biking make sure to take:

  1. Lots of Water to Drink! 🥛
  2. Some Snacks to Eat 🥨
  3. Lots of Insect Repellent/Bug Spray 🕷
  4. Extra Batteries 🔋 for flashlight 🔦, GPS 🤳 and walkie talkies if needed.
  5. Flashlight 🔦 just in case you don't make it back before sunset
  6. Small Medical Kit ⛑ (Bandages, Cleansing Wipes etc.)
  7. Some form of Communication (Walkie Talkies and/or a Cell Phone 📱) to contact the ranger station in case of emergencies.

Also make sure to take the usual Geocaching items:

  1. PENS 🖊🖋✏ (more than one in case the one dies) to sign the logs
  2. Cache Repair Kit (extra logs 🗒 and baggies )
  3. Extra batteries or portable phone charger.
  4. And of course a Smile! 😉 😁 😎 😀

Some of the creatures I have seen out here while placing the caches, are alligators, 🐊 turtles, 🐢 wild turkeys, 🦃 pheasants, 🐦 wild hogs, 🐖 raccoons, 🐾 white tail deer, 🦌 bunny rabbits, 🐇various birds, 🐥 Sandhill cranes, osprey and even a river otter and her babies.

Also part of the Powerline section (just past the hiking trail) is Under Water. There is a spur trail off the Myakka Hiking Trail that gets you around the wet area. Ask a Park Ranger as it may not be shown on a map. You can also  come around Ranch House Road/Bee Island trail (NW to South then East) and back to the Powerline, or come in from the SE Powerline (North on it and turn East) and get to it that way. Or if you are really brave or crazy not sure which is which, you can walk through it.

If you are planning to do it all in one day it is highly recommended that you get there as soon as the park opens as it will take you all day to do. And you want to be out of the park before dark as it gets REALLY DARK ❇ out there. Make sure to take a 🔦 flashlight 🔦 as well just in case.

HAVE FUN! But more importantly be SAFE! 😎

Permission to place caches in the park was given by Steve Giguere, Park Manager

Now onto the puzzle

This Geoart gave me the opportunity to dig into my closet and pull out some old Star Wars memorabilia I have had since a kid! Below is a Star Wars Action Figure sold by Kenner. Enter the exact name of the character as found on the toy packaging in the checker below. Some might include words in (). Include all of that as well - with no spaces!

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
