FTF CONGRATS!
YAZZ!

The Battery welcomes you to their Rogers Regional Sports Park
The Battery? That was a crowd... Lew Burdette MVP '57 Series, Southpaw Warren Spahn, reliever Bob Buhl and others on The Mound, and behind the plate we had a pair of Del's... Dell Crandall and backup Del Rice. Many hours listening to that gang summer nights.
Above all, though, Lew Burdette is best remembered for turning in one of the most dominant performances in postseason history when his three complete-game victories over the New York Yankees helped lead the Milwaukee Braves to the 1957 World Series title.

Now, let's get down to the Caching Business! BYOP!
You are looking for a plain old Bison Tube... as in no friction tape wrap, paint or camo... what a change... back to the workhorse of the fleet... The Bison Tube. He is tethered and YOU WILL NEED TOTT.
How do we get there/Park?
Ample parking at RRSP.
Be Safe Out There, should be easy here.
Good Luck Ya'll!
Lew Burdette, accused of spit balling, was raised in Nitro, WV. Learned how to throw walking home from school every day along the RR tracks. Since they were lined with glass windowed vacant ammo plants... Lew developed an arm at a young age.
One night in Crosley Field, Birdie Tebbetts, Cincinnatti Reds Manager set up an 8mm camera on the 3rd baseline determined to catch Lew throwing spit... nope, didn't catch him that night...not that night anyway.
The Booth: Oh my word, the booth... the personality...
"It's outa here... "
Earl Gillespie and Blaine Walsh... my hero's. Ever milk cows listening to baseball? Those were the days... kicked the Yankee's butts.
