“Quem morre pela Pátria atinge a Glória, pois revive nas páginas da história”
Muitos são os monumentos erigidos por todo o país a homenagear aqueles que ao longo da história de Portugal, deram a sua própria vida em sacrifício pela pátria.
Neste local podemos observar um desses monumentos, situado num largo com o mesmo nome, que pretende homenagear aqueles que deram a vida na e pela Grande Guerra. Foi construído em mármore branco e no topo estão dois soldados, em bronze.
Pode observar-se também uma laje com os nomes dos combatentes do concelho de Estremoz tombados em combate.

There are many monuments erected throughout the country to honor those who, throughout the history of Portugal, gave their lives in sacrifice for their country.
In this place we can see one of these monuments, located in a square with the same name, which aims to pay homage to those who gave their lives in and for the Great War. It was built in white marble and at the top there are two bronze soldiers.
You can also see a slab with the names of the fighters from the municipality of Estremoz who fell in combat.
