Rush Creek offers several hundred acres of public wetlands and woodlands, but is set alongside several thousand more acres of protected land which together comprise the largest natural tidal brackish marsh in California. The main trail alongside the marsh from this trailhead is approximately 5 miles long, and stretches back to Highway 101, but is fairly level throughout, making it a popular route for mountain bikers and horseback riders.
This cache rests in a tree a few feet uphill from the main trail. Finding it is the easy part. Opening the container requires three additional steps. Good luck!
