Geocache Description:

The cache contains log only. Please BYO Pen.  Please replace exactly as found and use stealth!
If you have any issues replacing properly, please shoot me a message.

*This Geocache is not located at the published co-ordinates*

To obtain the correct co-ordinates for this cache, you will need to have found Maryborough - Victoria - GC5XGGR (http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC5XGGR_maryborough-victoria) and recorded the co-ordinates found within the cache.

These are not the co-ordinates you need, however you can use them to partner with someone who has found Maryborough - Queensland - GC5MB31 (http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC5MB31_maryborough-queensland) who in turn will have the co-ordinates you require.

You can seek a partner via a Note in the interstate cache listing or by contacting another geocacher who has logged the find via Groundspeak email or messaging system.

This geocache will take you to somewhere within the Princes Park complex. While not quite the heart of Maryborough, it certainly serves as some sort of major organ!

Princess Park boasts a historic grandstand, band rotunda from 1904, the original ticket box and the Oval. It is home to or a part of the majority of the towns events - Energy Breakthrough in November, Highland Games and Firework display on New Years Day, Relay for Life, Cricket/Football/Netball, Cross country, dog shows and a multitude of other events.

Please note: This cache replaces Hello Queensland GC5XJGX. If you found the corrosponding cache prior to January 2024 and need the updated co-ords, please contact Becca85 or HansandLinda who have kindly taken over the Qld set of caches.
Acknowledgements to Sweet-Sour/Keith Carstens, the OG CO of the Qld caches who jumped on the chance and greatly assisted in creating this novelty set of Maryborough Vic/Qld geocaches when I first pitched the idea back in 2014. RIP Keith.
