The Williamson Valley Road Series: A Morgan Ranch Park Association History Project
Information about the area's history can be found by reading the 3 MRPA books – Williamson Valley Road, Williamson Valley & Beyond and Prescott to Camp Wood: Cowboy Bill. Morgan Ranch Nature Park is 6 miles north on Williamson Valley Road, ¼ mile east on Nancy Dr. Find more information at our Williamson Valley Historical Society-E—Facebook page. The cache page image shows students and the historic Granite Mountain School (1891-1930s) a few miles NW of the cache.
Cachers are required to obtain a permit to access STL. This permit ensures a responsible and sustainable exploration of the area. This link directs you to the necessary permit application process. https://land.az.gov/applications-permits.
The cache is at the posted coordinates. To qualify for this challenge, you must have logged a “found” on a minimum of 20 geocachers with the TEAMWORK ATTRIBUTE.
"Teamwork caches are created cooperatively by two owners from different areas. They encourage two geocachers to work together to find a cache in the different areas." geocaching.com
Numerous geocaches show the teamwork attribute on the cache page. Yet the geocache does not meet the requirement as stated by GC HQs. We've only had experience with a few geocaches that met that requirement. One required that cacher 1 press a doorbell while cacher 2 listened for a ring 50 feet away. Another geocache required cacher 1 to contact cacher 2 in another state. Cacher 2 was not available to help Cacher 1 with the find. The other geocaches we found with the teamwork attribute did not require two or more cachers to be in different areas. The cache owner may have chosen this attribute because having help would be advantageous, e.g. one cacher to hold a ladder and one to climb the tree or to suggest it would be safer to have a buddy along in a dangerous area.
Whatever the reason a CO added the teamwork attribute to a cache, we hope you have logged a find on at least 20 of those geocaches. When you find the geocache, you may log a note. When you meet the qualifications, you may log a found. One of the easiest ways (but there are other ways) to do this is to click the checker below, which will take you to project-gc. Then you may copy and paste the text showing that you qualify. For example: 🗸
"You have found 27 caches of type "Teamwork cache"
