Carmarthen Velodrome is believed to be one of the oldest velodromes in the world which has been in continuous use since it opened on Easter Monday in 1900. Following safety concerns it was renovated in 2017 and continues to be used by the Towy Riders Club, past members of the club have gone on to win Commonwealth Games medals and World Championship Titles as well as other competitions, not bad for a small town. UPDATE: past members have now achieved Olympic Gold and Bronze medals!! Hopefully my Turbo friend won't crawl off anywhere, please replace where found after signing the log (you'll need to bring your own scribbling tool and may find a tweezers handy). There is parking nearby but please note the park opening times 8am'ish till dusk. The park is ideal for younger cachers as there is plenty of space to run around, if it's a nice day why not bring a picnic ;) Stealth will probably be needed due to all the muggles, though this spot is not as busy as other parts of the park, unless the cyclists are there or there's a rugby match on.
