This cache is located within the Patterson Environmental Park, a 23-acre town-owned nature preserve situated in the Great Swamp, the second-largest wetlands area in New York State. Along the path to the cache, you will see stone blocks from an old quarry once located here. At the end of the path is a kayak launch area and newly constructed boardwalk. Despite being close to the Metro-North railroad, it's a peaceful place to stop and enjoy nature.
This is a straightforward hide, an Altoids tin hidden somewhere on the boardwalk. Don't forget to sign the log and have fun!
Parking is on Maple Road, opposite the Patterson Rec Center. Be careful crossing the tracks as this is an active rail line.
