CARW2024 will be held during the weekend of March 2nd & 3rd. Cache finding start time is 9:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2nd and the cache finding end time is 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 3rd.
Please DO NOT hunt for eacaches before the start time of 9:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2nd.
CARW2024 is a "fun for tlhe whole family" event with a focus on "Quality Caching".
This year's theme will be "LEAP" so go out there and hide some caches based on your favorite theme!
Edmonton and area geocachers hide winter-friendly caches in the designated event area. Caches are submitted for review on or before the Cache Submission Deadline of TBA.
Upon publication, participants prepare for the event by solving puzzles, planning their routes, and, for some, forming teams to hunt for caches. A "Kick Off" event is held on Thursday evening for people to get together to make their preparations. On Saturday morning March 2nd at 9:00 a.m. everyone hits the trails to hunt for caches.
On Sunday afternoon, March 3rd at 2:00 p.m., everyone heads for the Wrap-Up event.
