Anare Street is named after the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE), the former name of the Australian Antarctic Program (AAp). The adventure to this cache is far less treacherous and the weather is a touch more pleasant. Hopefully the search for the cache brings a touch of the thrill experienced by those arctic explorers!
You are looking for a light brown 90 mm PVC pipe with a screw top, approximately 23 cm tall. A pencil and sharpener can be found inside. Plenty of space for trinkets too.
The cache is located on the corner of a private residence with permission granted for its placement and is accessible from the footpath. A great cache for beginners, and very accessible. Have fun finding it!
