Bison Land is the place where nature, spirituality, culture and traditions coexist and blend in a harmonious way.
The ecotourism destination overlaps the "Vânători Neamț Natural Park", the town of Târgu Neamț, the communes of Agapia, Bălăteşti, Crăcăoani and Vânători Neamț.
It is the only place in Europe where bison can be found in freedom, semi-freedom and captivity at the same time.
The Bison Reserve - Neamț, also known as the "Dragoș-Vodă" Bison Reserve, covers an area of 11500 hectares, being in the southern part of the Sabasa Mountains (the central division of the Stânișoara Mountains) and the northern of Neamt county.
The reserve is a protection zone for several rare fauna species, mainly: bison (Bison bonasus). The brown bear (Ursus arctos), the deer (Cervus elaphus) or the roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) are also found.
