It's been a couple of years since I settled in Alva and I've enjoyed exploring the local area.
The paths around the wheat fields along the river Devon are ideal for dog walking, and Zelda loves watching the sheep.
The cycle paths are great and the new connection to Menstrie has extended my easy lunchtime run from 4km to 6km.
The back road is walking and cycling friendly, with no motor vehicles allowed.
I can head up to the forest near the silver mine for a different running route or just to climb some trees 😊
I've hidden 10 local caches so far. Or have I? This one has been in development for a while.
Maybe I should hide some more caches up in the Ochils? Or some nice easily accessible ones? Searching for inspiration.

Alva covers an area of only .598 square miles. That's wee! No, that’s the county.
The longest road is the A91 which runs from Stirling to St Andrews which is about 50 miles, but that doesn't help me.
The postcode district is FK12. That's not many numbers. I wonder how many unique postcodes there are?
