At 1,912 acres, the Matsell Bridge Natural Area is the largest Linn County area. Diverse in terrain and habitat, Matsell Bridge is home to many species of native Iowa wildlife and plants. The area contains numerous "one-of-a-kind" facilities within the Linn County Park system: a shooting range, primitive year-round cabin, equestrian camping and unique historical features.
This cache is in the northern end of the area. From the provided parking coordinates you should be able to follow the mowed trails all the way to the cache.
----
4/13/25 - The trail I followed to the area when I hid this cache seems to not have been mowed last year, so getting to the cache requires finding the right game trail or wading through the tall grass for the last few hundred feet.
Hunting is allowed in this area, so try be sure to wear your orange in season.
