This event, at Rocky Point State Park in Warwick, RI, will serve to welcome SearchNSeekNEnjoy, the newest volunteer reviewer working on Massachusetts and Rhode Island. It will be held at a relatively new covered area of a restored pier - which also has picnic tables and accessible fishing. The area was once an amusement park, opened in 1850, and closed in 1994.
There are paved and dirt paths and trails, grassy lawns, beautiful views of the bay and Prudence Island, and some interesting remnants of the park. The arch from the 1964 Worlds Fair was relocated to this park. There is even a filled-in saltwater pool. Fishing and exploring the shoreline are favorite activities here. Pets and bikes are welcome. Plenty of parking is available in 2 lots.
SearchNSeekNEnjoy would love to meet cachers and introduce themselves! The event will be held rain or shine, on March 17, 2024, from 9:30am-10:30am.
