PUBLIC LETTERBOX: This geocache is one in a Hybrid Letterbox series associated with U.S. Post Office Buildings. Posted (like in Post Office) Coordinates are on a public sidewalk outside of, across the street from, yet in view of, the Post Office Building (not collection boxes). Final Coordinates are in a public place a short distance away and are visible as a Waypoint for those who prefer not to follow the Path Description.
BONUS: Be sure to look for the Letter Alphabet Code if you want to complete the Bonus GCAHV69.

PATH DESCRIPTION: You as Geocacher will follow the path of a mailed Letter from the Post Office to Final Coordinates. Go Right or Northeast on Woodinville-Snohomish Road N.E. Turn Left or Northwest on N.E. Mill Place/ N.E. 178th Place. Turn Left or Southwest on Little Bear Creek Parkway/ N.E. 177th Place. Turn Right or North on 134th Avenue N.E. until Final Coordinates on Right. "No Dumping" white sign is too far.
LOGBOOK INSTRUCTIONS: This geocache's Logbook represents a Postage Stamp that was (it has been taken) taped to a green Eco-Clean doggy disposal bag (do not take, please).
The selected example stamp below is of Basset Hounds, as these dogs are quite special in Woodinville--as sculptures in town--and geocaches all about--and many residents' favorite breed.

POSTAGE STAMPS HISTORY: Rowland Hill of England in 1837 proposed the prepayment of letters with postage stamps in his pamphlet "Post Office Reform". On May 1, 1840, the United Kingdom issued the first adhesive postage stamp, featuring the profile of Queen Victoria. In 1847, the Congress of the U.S. authorized postage stamps. By 1860, ninety countries of the world had introduced postage stamps. Antarctica does not issue its own stamps, as it is governed by a group of seven nations under a December 1, 1959 treaty. Before the invention of postage stamps, the cost of mail was usually paid by the person receiving it, not the person sending it.
BLOCK STAMP FOR LETTERBOXERS: A Block Stamp (not a Postage Stamp) is provided for you to stamp only on your own letterbox material. Do not take this Block Stamp. Please bring and use your own Ink Pad as it is not provided. The Block Stamps in this postal office series are of Puget Sound Sea Life (Vie Sous-Marine) (Vida Marina) such as fish, dolphin, crab, starfish, turtle, octopus, etc.
Congratulations to DM&K Cachers for FTF.
