PUBLIC LETTERBOX: This geocache is one in a Hybrid Letterbox series associated with U.S. Post Office Buildings. Posted (like in Post Office) Coordinates are on a public sidewalk outside of, across the street from, yet in view of, the Post Office Building (not collection boxes). Final Coordinates are in a public place a short distance away and are visible as a Waypoint for those who prefer not to follow the Path Description.
BONUS: Be sure to look for the Letter Alphabet Code if you want to complete the Bonus GCAHV69.

PATH DESCRIPTION: You as Geocacher will follow the path of a mailed Letter from the Post Office to Final Coordinates. You may bike, bus, drive, or walk (all at your own risk, of course) to the Posted Coordinates. Free Parking is available. Go on Evergreen Point Road past N.E. 8th Street towards the water to the Final Coordinates on your Right of the public sidewalk. Overlake Drive W. is too far.
LOGBOOK INSTRUCTIONS: This geocache's Logbook is in a geo-container that celebrates one of the colors for letterboxes. Update 09/16/2024: The logbook has been taken, along with the mini-Mailbox geo-container, so thr replacement log is not colored but plain.
LETTER BOX COLORS HISTORY: The colors of Letterboxes here relate to the country of India; other countries may have different meanings for each color. Red letter boxes are for collection of mails which are not local. Green letter boxes are for collection of local mails. Blue boxes are for mails addressed to metro cities. Yellow boxes are for mails addressed to all state capitals. In England, historically in mid-1800s when letterboxes were introduced, many were green to blend in with surroundings. Later, in 1884, when it became evident that visibility needed to be increased, the letterboxes were repainted the now iconic pillar-box red.

BLOCK STAMP FOR LETTERBOXERS: A Block Stamp (not a Postage Stamp) is provided for you to stamp only on your own letterbox material. Do not take this Block Stamp. Please bring and use your own Ink Pad as it is not provided. Update 09/16/2024: The Block Stamp has been taken, along with the Geo-Mini-Mailbox Container, and will not be replaced anymore. It is no longer a Mailbox but has a Mailbox TB attached to preserve the theme. Please Discover but do not take this TB.
