We love living here in Croydon and part of the important infrastructure is Croydon Railway Station which is going through a massive upgrade. Croydon Station is on the Lilydale line where works have been ongoing to remove the level crossings. Now Croydon along with Ringwood East have major works in progress to have their nearby level crossings removed. At Croydon the line is being upgraded and the elevated. Coolstore Rd railway crossing will soon be gone which has been a major bottle neck for traffic. A whole new Croydon station will be built. Currently you'll see piling works going one to support the massive overhead rail lines and new station. The project is enormous and fascinating to watch as you drive through the area. After completion the Lilydale line will be completely level crosing free.

Prior to the works a whole new multi-level carpark was built to accomodate parking for rail commuters at Devon St.
For this Cache you will need to excersise stealth as you get to ground zero (GZ). The cache is located in between the security cameras so there shouldnt be any issues but keep a low profile as it can get a bit busy at times. Please note there is no street parking at GZ. Best way to get there because of all the works nearby is to park in Main St Croydon at the shops and walk around to GZ. Please bring a pen to sign the log book. Please remember to put cache back to it's exact spot to help other cachers find it. 😊
