This is our 29th FFCM event on the calendar, which is fab. If you are free on Friday 2nd February at 10am-11:30am & want to join us for some general geochat in a friendly low key way we're going to be at the village hall in Flitwick, we'll be at the table with extra chairs around it😃 All are welcome those that attend regularly, those that join us occasionally and those that are new to FFCM events or have never attended a geocaching event before are welcome to come along & say hi...we do our best to make all feel welcome 😉
Our event's history; We know from previous conversations with cachers, that evening events aren’t always possible to attend. Therefore, our FFCM event idea was born on 07/06/2019. It has proved to be a popular idea & we thoroughly enjoy hosting.
The Village Hall committee started to offer teas, coffee & cakes etc during market day, to encourage trade. Now, each week the opportunity is given to various charities & non-profit organisations to host the kitchen. Each week, the kitchen hosts serve the refreshments for donations, then all proceeds from that week, go to the host charity/organisations. Sometimes there is even a raffle 😉 (Bringing cash is advisable, if you would like to join in😉 There is NO obligation to par-take, if you do not want to!)
All cachers are welcome to join us for geochat, tb swapping or discovery. It's a low key, friendly gathering. We hope that some of our caching friends are free to join us again for this event. You'll find us inside the main hall, one or both of us will have caching attire on 😃 Dogs are welcome in the hall but they have to be on their lead.
Friday is Market day here in Flitwick, there is limited parking available at the village hall. Waypoints are included for other options, (please check the time limit though, see the signs in the area for exact restrictions please). The railway station is within easy walking distance with regular services between Bedford, London and Brighton. The bus also stops in front of the village hall too.
