Leap Days are exceedingly rare and, well, Ottawa CITOs are too. Why not take the oppportunity to combine them? It's impossible to predict both the weather and the amount of litter available for cleanup, but we can put this on the calendar and see how it goes.
Centrepointe Park encompases a large area (see reference waypoints), so it's plausible that a cleaning will be helpful -- though maybe bringing shovels to help clear paths in the snow will be a more relevant activity?
I know this will be a Thursday, which isn't ideal for many that work, but my efforts to move the Leap Day to the weekend were rebuffed. Sunset is anticipated at 5:49 pm.
I'll try to have both a few small and a few large garbage bags available. If attendees bring a grocery-type bag and their own gloves, I suspect it will be plenty. No harm in bringing a snow shovel or two as a back-up, just in case that becomes helpful.
There's a background image on the cache page -- it's snow. Get it? :) Looking forward to seeing everyone.
