This cache is called "Winterize" as it is placed beside the Malahat Drive/#1 Highway, one of the worst places to drive in the winter. The highway is prone to snowy conditions, icy roads, and fog, which make it all the more gruelling. Because of All of that, there are signs up telling people in the winter time to put on snow tires and chains to get better traction on the road. In other words: Winterizing.
If you find this in winter, definitely put on some snow tires. If you find this in summer, well the cache is kind of irrelevant, but it's always here to be found. PLEASE DON'T PARK ON THE HIGHWAY!! Please park where applicable on the side street. Cache should be a nice quick find. Happy Caching!
