Geocache Description:

The Williamson Valley Road Series: A Morgan Ranch Park Association History Project

Information about the area's history can be found by reading the 3 MRPA books – Williamson Valley Road, Williamson Valley & Beyond and Prescott to Camp Wood: Cowboy Bill. Morgan Ranch Nature Park is 6 miles north on Williamson Valley Road, ¼ mile east on Nancy Dr. Find more information at our Williamson Valley Historical Society-E—Facebook page. The cache page image shows people from all over Arizona and beyond attending a Rancher's Camp Meeting which was held yearly for 40 years, south of the location of the geocache.

Cachers are required to obtain a permit to access STL. This permit ensures a responsible and sustainable exploration of the area. This link directs you to the necessary permit application process. https://land.az.gov/applications-permits.

The cache is at the posted coordinates. To qualify for this challenge, you must have logged a “found” on a minimum of 400 geocaches with the "RECOMMENDED FOR TOURIST" ATTRIBUTE. As of 1/18/2024, There are 299,488 geocaches with the TOURIST attribute, which might mean the cache may be near scenic spots, places of interest, accommodations, or commercial tourist stops. They may be quick to find, within easy reach, or do not require equipment tourists would not have on hand. For the typical "tourist geocacher," geocaching is secondary to touring, i.e., finding a geocache while seeing the sights is a bonus, not a burden.

Whatever the reason a CO added the TOURIST attribute to a cache, we hope you have logged a find on at least 400 of those geocaches. When you find the geocache, you may log a note. When you meet the qualifications, you may log a found. One of the easiest ways (but there are other ways) to do this is to click the checker below, which will take you to project-gc. Then you may copy and paste the text showing that you qualify. For example - "LKLopez fulfills challenge? (GCAJE5B) according to https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCAJE5B/84888"
