El Liceu és un teatre republicà (ja que no disposa de llotja reial), molt antic i ple de secrets. Ubicat a la Rambla, cada any presenta grans obres d'òpera, ballet i música simfònica, a més d'altres concerts, i és un dels símbols de la ciutat. A l'edifici, hi ha un fantasma molt especial, l'Eliseu, que coneix totes les curiositats i el passat i present de la història d'aquest teatre.
El teatre va ser construït en el solar d'un antic convent i fou inaugurat el 4 d'abril de 1847.
Des d'aleshores, l'Eliseu ronda per les seves instal·lacions escoltant òperes i aprenent música. El 1861, va veure com un curt-circuit elèctric va destruir gran part del teatre i això va fer que durant un any, l'Eliseu es quedés sense funcions, i aprofites per aprendre aquesta òpera:
En només un any, es va restaurar el teatre i des d'aleshores es van fer representacions d'òpera, ballet i concerts. La seva condició de lloc de reunió i esplai de la nova burgesia industrial, financera i comercial va fer que l'any 1893, fos objecte d'un atac anarquista. Així, la nit de la inauguració de la temporada, durant la representació de Guillermo Tell, de Rossini, es van llançar a la platea dues bombes, una de les quals esclatà i produí vint morts.
L'Eliseu, també va veure com el 1909, es va fer una renovació decorativa de la sala, amb làmpades en forma de drac i tulipes de vidre, i a ell li agrada seure ara a les butaques de platea de vellut vermell, mentre escolta la seva música preferida (resposta: personatge de ficció principal de la saga):
Durant la Guerra Civil de 1936-39, la Generalitat nacionalitzà el Liceu, que fou anomenat Teatre Nacional de Catalunya. El 1939 el teatre tornà al règim anterior. El 31 de gener de 1994, ara fa trenta anys, un altre incendi destruí totalment l'escenari i el pati de butaques i gràcies a les importants donacions per a la reconstrucció, el nou Gran Teatre del Liceu es va poder inaugurar oficialment el 7 d'octubre de 1999, amb la representació de l'òpera:
En el 175è aniversari del Liceu s'han instal·lat portes al porxo d'entrada al teatre, és una obra de Jaume Plensa batejada com a Constel·lacions, una picada d'ullet a l'obra pictòrica de Joan Miró, i que té una estructura de reixes homenatge a Antoni Gaudí.

The Liceu is a republican theater -it does not have a royal box-, very old and full of secrets. Located on La Rambla, every year it presents great works of opera, ballet and symphonic music, as well as other concerts, and is one of the symbols of the city. Inside the building, there is a very funny ghost, Eliseu, who knows all the secrets and the past and present of the history of this theater.
The theater was built on the site of a former convent and was inaugurated on 4 April 1847.

Eliseu, also saw how, in 1909, a decorative renovation of the room was made, with dragon-shaped lamps and glass tulips, and now he likes to sit in the red velvet stall seats, while listening to his favorite music (answer: the film main character):
During the Civil War of 1936-39, the Generalitat nationalized the Liceu, which was called the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya. In 1939, the theater returned to its previous regime. On January 31, 1994, thirty years ago, another fire completely destroyed the stage and the stalls and, thanks to the significant donations for the reconstruction, the new Gran Teatre del Liceu was officially inaugurated on October 7, 1999, with the performance of the opera:
On the 175th anniversary of the Liceu, doors have been installed on the porch at the entrance to the theatre. It is a work by Jaume Plensa called Constellations, a nod to the pictorial work of Joan Miró, and which has a structure of grilles in homage to Antoni Gaudí.
