Shortly after I successfully hiked from Mexico to Canada on the Pacific Crest Trail we were granted this "virtual cache" reward. The sweeter half immediately thought it should have something to do with the trail. I banged my head for a while and I came up with this. One of the closest and iconic places that the PCT passes by us is Yosemite. One of the special things about virtual caches is they can be placed in National Parks. We've chosen this point on the SR 120 (Tioga Road), a major thorofare through the sierras, to place our first virtual cache. Across the road is a parking lot. The painted crosswalk is the "Pacific Crest Trail" or PCT. The PCT is a 2650 mile long hiking trail that runs from Mexico to Canada along the Pacific Crest. At this road crossing you could hike 943 miles south to Mexico or hike 1712 miles north to Canada.
To log this cache you just need to message us the large bold seven letter lowercase word in the middle of the "Meadow Restoration in Progress" sign on the southside of the crosswalk. After you messaged us the word feel free to log this cache; no need to wait for a reply. Please do not put the answer in your official "found it" log or we will have to delete it, sorry.
If you want to, you can check to see if you found the right word with
certitude. This is absolutely not necessary.
See you down the trail.
