There are over twenty cat statues on buildings in York city centre. No one knows the origins of all the cat statues, but the tradition may date back to medieval times. The first cat statues may have been placed on buildings to frighten away rats and mice, which can carry plague and illness. Or they may have been intended to attract people to a shop or simply to amuse children.
To be able to log this cache you must look for three of the cat statues and complete all of the following tasks:

Go to N 53° 57.600 W 001° 04.795 and look for the black cat on the wall. What is the year on the commemorative plaque below the cat?

Go to N 53° 57.595 W 001° 04.812 and look for the black cat on the roof of a building. What is the name of the business in the building?

Go to N 53° 57.630 W 001° 04.773 and look for the small black kitten climbing very high on the side brick wall of a house. What is the number of the house? Ignore the black cat on the nearby balcony - this is not the cat you are looking for. Please note - the number of the house is not one.
