MK NATURE CENTER
Welcome to the Morrison Knudsen Nature Center! There is SO much to see and do here, so you may want to plan on a couple hours! This has instantly become one of my favorite places in Boise. It is going to be a must-do on every visit. It has so much to offer! The Idaho Fish and Game MK Nature Center offers a unique wildlife experience on a 4.6-acre site along the Boise River Greenbelt. There is a huge bird-viewing window, and underwater fish viewing windows along the stream walk, flower beds, hiking paths, waterfalls, a sturgeon pool, and so much more. There are many nature displays inside the building, and many interpretive displays outside, along the beautiful pathways. The StreamWalk and Visitor Center provide a glimpse of Idaho's many landscapes and abundant wildlife.
The nature center paths and outdoor viewing areas are open year-round from dawn to dusk. No Dogs, please. To protect native wildlife and plants, please leave your dog safely at home. Service dogs are welcome.

Visitor Center and Gift Shop:
Open Tuesday - Sunday from 10a.m. to 3p.m. Please note, the center is closed on Mondays, all Federal holidays, Christmas and New Years Eve.
The visitor's center houses a variety of educational displays focusing on Idaho's wildlife and habitats. Taxidermy and artwork help visitors explore these topics. An observation beehive gives visitors an up-close look at the activity in the hive while also learning the importance of pollinators. The auditorium viewing windows offer opportunities to watch birds as they visit feeders.
Come inside the center for hands-on activities like touching animal pelts, antlers, horns and skulls. See full body taxidermy mounts of Idaho wildlife including grizzly bear, cougar, mountain goat, wolf, elk, caribou, bald eagle, waterfowl, trout, salmon and more.
