Geocache Description:

George Bush Intercontinental Airport (KIAH) is an international airport in Houston, Texas, United States, serving the Greater Houston metropolitan area. Located about 23 miles (37 km) north of Downtown Houston between Interstate 45 and Interstate 69/U.S. Highway 59 with direct access to the Hardy Toll Road expressway, George Bush Intercontinental Airport has scheduled flights to a large number of domestic and international destinations covering five continents. It is the busiest airport in Texas for international passenger traffic and number of international destinations, as well as being the second busiest airport in Texas overall, and the 15th busiest in the United States for total passenger traffic.

The airport, opening in 1969 and originally named Houston Intercontinental Airport, was renamed in 1997 after George H. W. Bush, the 41st president of the United States and a resident of Houston. The original two terminals, A & B were supplemented by Terminal C in 1981, Terminal D in 1990 and Terminal E in 2003.  A $1.43 billion USD renovation program is currently underway and is anticipated to be completed in early 2025. IAH covers 10,000 acres (40 square kilometres) of land and has five runways. Houston Intercontinental is one of the largest passenger hubs for United Airlines.

This virtual cache is intended to be done inside the secure area of the airport.

Any drive-by logs, logs from passenger pick-up or drop-off, the parking lot, etc, will be promptly deleted.  Perhaps now transiting passengers will be able to log a Texas cache without resorting to fake-logging GCGGTR!

Your tasks: The posted coordinates should take you to a statue of the airport's namesake entitled "Winds of Change" inside Terminal C.  Take a selfie or a photo of your GPSr or something with your Geoname on it with the statue in the background.

If your connection is tight and you can't get to the statue, just take a selfie or a photo displaying your geoname at a gate showing an aircraft and/or departure board with the current date displayed on it. Adding at least one more photo that shows without a doubt that you are at IAH is greatly appreciated.  Upload your picture(s) with your log (don't send it to me).

That's it!  No need to send me any info, but be sure I will vet all logs and delete any that don't meet either of these requirements.

Hopefully this is a fave worthy experience! (hint, hint)

Congratulations to KleshOfficial for being FTF!
