Geocache Description:

The land in this area was originally owned by the CPR who sold it to Eli Foutaine in 1891, but the land was returned to the Crown who split it up into parcels. This land was owned by a number of people including Nelson Bebo. The area was finally bought by Addison Hone in 1905 who raised horses and started the polo grounds to the east of the chimney. Mr. Hone built a cabin/shed combination along with a large barn. In 1926 he sold the land to Norman Williams who lived there until 1950 when he died and the land was then sold to Ted Lennan. The house burned down sometime during this period, but the old chimney remains.

Parking lots and day use facilities in Fish Creek Park are open from:
April 1st to September 30th — 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M.
