Welcome to the University of Notre Dame. We have lived in the area for almost thirty years. We know there are many reasons that people come to campus. You may be here just to see the Golden Dome or attend a wedding or mass at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. You may be here to see a football or basketball or hockey game. You may be here attend a concert or play or movie at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center.
We hope no matter how brief or long your visit may be that you will be able to complete this virtual cache. You have three options:
1) At the posted coordinates, take a picture of yourself or your phone/GPSr with either the Basilica or the Golden Dome in the background and post it with your log. If you choose, you may message us with the answer to the following: how many globes are on each lamppost by the stairs to the Main Building?
OR
2) At Waypoint 1 (The Grotto,) take a picture of yourself or your phone/GPSr with the Grotto in the background and post it with your log. If you choose, you may message us with the answer to the following: from the plaque behind you, what is the Grotto built from?
OR
3) At Waypoint 2 (Stadium/Touchdown Jesus,) take a picture of yourself or your phone/GPSr with either the Stadium or Touchdown Jesus in the background and post it with your log. If you choose, you may message us with the answer to the following: what are the names of two of the children listed on the plaque on bench by the sidewalk, directly west of the waypoint coordinates?
Your logging photos should be from a visit to campus made after the publication date of this cache. However, feel free to also share photos from previous visits. Please post only one Found It log even if you visit more than one of the locations.
