It's always fun to stop at Roadside oddities/attractions when traveling or just out and about your own town. Since moving here we have driven past this Orange quite a bit and thought hmm wonder what its story is. So we looked into it and there wasn't much info out there on it. It is however featured in many online and in print roadside attraction articles. From what we can gather this Giant Orange was built in 1967. It was made of Concrete and Steel with a diameter of 15 feet. In its prime days it was manned by the Eau Gallie Chamber of Commerce and was used to serve Juice to tourists for many years. Unfortunatly it isn't used to serve juice anymore, but it is still a fun place to stop and get a photo.
To log this Virtual Cache you must take a photo of yourself or a piece of paper with your caching name on it with the orange. I bet you could come up with some fun poses with it :) Any log without a photo will be deleted. PLEASE DO NOT MESSAGE ME PHOTOS.. PLEASE PUT THEM IN YOUR LOG
Parking is available right at the orange, I have set this as wheelchair friendly as you don't have to go off the parking area to get a photo with it as this thing is huge.
If you have a few moments you should also check out the nearby Veterans Memorial on the edge of the parking lot as well.
