Sárkányok Budapesten
A Lánchíd pesti hídfőjénél épült ki 1853-58 között a főváros első rakodópartja, amelynek északi bejáratát őrizte egykor három vassárkány.
A Duna Gőzhajózási Társasághoz tartozó rakpart déli bejáratánál egymásba csavarodó farkú delfineket formázó kapuszobrok álltak, északi oldalán pedig a három sárkányszerű fantázialény. Ez utóbbiak kerékvetőnek tűnnek, de a korabeli források szerint jégtörőnek szánták őket télvégi áradások esetére. A mögöttük álló míves kandelábereket a Ganz-üzemben, a díszrácsokat – így a sárkányokat és a delfineket is – pedig a hajózási vállalat óbudai gyárában, a Schlick-féle Vasöntödében öntötték. A sárkányok Feszl Frigyes építész alkotásai, melyeket 1856-ban avattak fel.
A rakpart átépítése miatt a sárkányok az óbudai Kiscelli kastély bejárata elé kerültek, majd az 1950-es évek végén két sárkány a Városligetbe került áthelyezésre. A harmadik tàrsuk továbbra is Óbudán található, míg a két felújított egyed az Állatkerthez került.

Dragons in Budapest
Between 1853-58, the capital's first loading dock was built at the Chain Bridge bridgehead in Pest, the northern entrance of which was once guarded by three iron dragons.
At the southern entrance of the quay belonging to the Danube Steamship Company, there were gate statues shaped like dolphins with entwined tails, and on the northern side, the three dragon-like fantasy creatures. The latter look like wheel launchers, but according to contemporary sources, they were intended as icebreakers in case of late winter floods. The graceful candelabras behind them were cast at the Ganz plant, and the decorative grilles - including the dragons and dolphins - were cast at the Schlick iron foundry at the Óbuda factory of the shipping company. The dragons are works of the architect Frigyes Feszl, which were inaugurated in 1856.
Due to the reconstruction of the quay, the dragons were placed in front of the entrance to the Kiscelli Castle in Óbuda, and at the end of the 1950s, two dragons were moved to the Városliget. Their third companion can still be found in Óbuda, while the two renovated individuals were transferred to the Zoo.
In order to succesfully log the cache, please complete the following tasks:
1. Take a photo with the dragon to prove you've been there (selfie, GPS, your nickname on a piece of paper, etc.).
2. Get the dragon to breathe fire (be creative).
