Wiener Fiaker



Willkommen am Stephansplatz in Wien, dem Herzen der Stadt, wo die Fiaker nicht nur eine Attraktion sind, sondern auch eine lebendige Tradition. Ein Fiaker ist eine zweispännige Pferdekutsche, die in Wien eine lange Tradition hat. Diese Kutschen wurden bereits im 17. Jahrhundert genutzt und sind heute ein Symbol der Stadt. Sie sind oft liebevoll geschmückt und von eleganten Pferden gezogen, die in der Lage sind, die malerischen Straßen Wiens mit Stil und Charme zu durchqueren.

Die Fiaker sind mehr als nur ein Transportmittel; sie sind ein Teil des öffentlichen Erbes und verkörpern den Charme Wiens. Mit ihren geschmückten Wagen und den stolzen Pferden führen sie ihre Passagiere durch die malerischen Straßen und bieten eine nostalgische Reise in die Vergangenheit.

Am Stephansdom, einem der ikonischen Wahrzeichen Wiens, warten die Fiaker geduldig auf ihre Passagiere. Die Kutscher, oft echte Wiener Originale, erzählen interessante Geschichten und machen die Fahrt zu einem besonderen Erlebnis.

Bitte beachte, dass die Pferde abends Nachtruhe haben und nur tagsüber unterwegs sind. Außerdem bekommen die Tiere ab 35° C hitzefrei. Normalerweise sind die Fiaker zwischen 11 und 22 Uhr anzutreffen. Es gibt mehrere Standorte für Fiaker in Wien, aber der Stephansplatz ist der beliebteste.







Der Virtual Cache:


Bei den angegebenen Koordinaten findet ihr den Wartebereich der Fiaker am Stephansplatz. Die Kutschen sind der Reihe nach aufgestellt und warten auf die nächste Ausfahrt. Es gibt mehrere Standplätze der Fiaker in Wien, vom Stephansplatz gehen jedoch die meisten Rundfahrten aus.


Um den Cache als gefunden zu loggen sind zwei Aufgaben zu erfüllen

  1. Schicke mir eine Nachricht und nenne mir wie viele Fiaker auf der "Aufstellordnung" abgebildet sind. Die Antwort ist NICHT 6 und NICHT 1! Es ist ebenfalls NICHT die Anzahl der Fiaker gesucht, die aktuell in der Reihe stehen, sondern auf dem Schild mit der Aufschrift "Aufstellordnung"!
  2. Mache ein Foto von dir mit einem Fiaker im Hintergrund. Alternativ ist statt dir auch ein Stück Papier mit deinem Cacher-Nick darauf gültig. Sollten bei deinem Besuch die Pferde bereits in die Stallungen zurück gekehrt sein, kannst du am leeren Wartebereich auf deinem Foto einen Fiaker zeichnen. Bitte achte darauf, dass die Antwort zu Frage 1 auf dem Bild nicht zu erkennen ist. Das Foto muss deinem Logeintrag angehängt werden.
Wenn eine der beiden Aufgaben nicht erfüllt ist, ist der Eintrag ungültig - es muss damit gerechnet werden, dass der Fund gelöscht wird.

Viennese Fiakers


Welcome to the Stephansplatz in Vienna, the heart of the city, where the Fiakers are not only an attraction but also a living tradition. A Fiaker is a two-horse carriage that has a long tradition in Vienna. These carriages were already used in the 17th century and are today a symbol of the city. They are often lovingly decorated and pulled by elegant horses that are capable of traversing Vienna’s picturesque streets with style and charm.

The Fiakers are more than just a means of transport; they are part of the public heritage and embody the charm of Vienna. With their decorated carriages and proud horses, they guide their passengers through the picturesque streets and offer a nostalgic journey into the past.

At the Stephansdom, one of Vienna’s iconic landmarks, the Fiakers wait patiently for their passengers. The coachmen, often true Viennese originals, tell interesting stories and make the ride a special experience.

Please note that the horses retire at night and are only out during the day. Additionally, the animals are heat-free when temperatures reach 35°C. The fiakers are typically available between 11 AM and 10 PM. There are several locations for Fiakers in Vienna, but the Stephansplatz is the most popular.







The Virtual Cache:


At the given coordinates, you will find the waiting area for the Fiakers at Stephansplatz. The carriages are lined up in order and waiting for their next departure. There are several locations for Fiakers in Vienna, but most tours depart from Stephansplatz.


To log your cache as found, two tasks must be completed:

  1. Send me a message and tell me how many Fiakers are on the sign "Aufstellordnung". The answer is NOT 6 and NOT 1! It is also NOT about the number of fiakers currently standing in line, but rather the number on the sign with the inscription "Aufstellordnung"!
  2. Take a photo of yourself with a Fiaker in the background. Alternatively, instead of yourself, a piece of paper with your Cacher Nick on it is valid. If at your visit the horses have already returned to their stables, you can draw a Fiaker on your photo at the empty waiting area. Please make sure that the answer to question 1 is not visible on the picture. The photo must be attached to your log entry.

If one of these two tasks is not completed, your entry will be invalid - it must be expected that your find will be deleted.
