Sunset on the dune
Desert. Lots of sand on the dunes. This is how we imagine the desert in the north of Africa. The truth is different. The Sahara is mostly rocky. A desert formed by rocks, full of stones, pebbles or gravel or clay. Sand dunes, known from photographs or films, occur only in a few places. One of those places is Erg Chegaga.
Erg Chegaga (or Erg Chigaga, Berber: ⴻⵔⴳ ⵛⴳⵉⴳⴰ, Arabic: عرق شقاق ) is the largest of the major ergs in Morocco.
Beautiful sand dunes is located in the Drâa-Tafilalet area about 45 km west of the small town of M'Hamid El Ghizlane, south of the town of Zagora. It is the largest and wildest erg of Morocco.
At west it is located the Iriki Lake, a dried lake now set Iriqui National Park since 1994.
Previously, camel caravans traveled across the desert to the Malian capital of Timbuktu, the journey took approximately fifty days.
Task:
There are several campsites in the desert where you can spend the night. Before the sun goes down, climb one of the dunes and take a photo together with the sunset. Or wait for the sunrise in the desert in the morning and photograph the sunrise with you. Or find a place you like in the desert and take a picture with you. It's up to you.

Poušť. Spousta písku na dunách. Takto si představujeme poušť na severu Afriky. Pravda je jiná. Sahara je převážně kamenitá. Poušť tvořená skalami, plná kamenů, oblázků nebo štěrková či hlinitá. Písečné duny, známé z fotografií nebo filmů, se vyskytují jen na pár místech. Jedním z těch míst je Erg Chegaga.
Erg Chegaga (nebo Erg Chigaga, berbersky: ⴻⵔⴳ ⵛⴳⵉⴳⴰ, arabsky: عرق شقاق ) je největší z hlavních ergů v Maroku.
Krásné písečné duny se nachází v oblasti Drâa-Tafilalet asi 45 km západně od městečka M'Hamid El Ghizlane, jižně od města Zagora. Je to největší a nejdivočejší erg Maroka.
Na západě se nachází jezero Iriki, vyschlé jezero, které je nyní od roku 1994 zasazeno do národního parku Iriqui.
Dříve putovaly přes poušť do Timbuktu, hlavního města Mali, velbloudí karavany. Cesta trvala přibližně padesát dní.
Úkol:
V poušti je několik kempů, kde můžete strávit noc. Než slunce zapadne, vylezte na jednu z dun a udělejte si společnou fotku se západem slunce. Nebo počkejte ráno na rozbřesk slunce v poušti a vyfotografujte si východ slunce. Nebo si najděte místo v poušti, které se vám líbí a udělejte si tam obrázek. Je to na vás.

De belles dunes de sable se trouvent dans la région de Drâa-Tafilalet à environ 45 km à l'ouest de la petite ville de M'Hamid El Ghizlane, au sud de la ville de Zagora. C'est l'erg le plus grand et le plus sauvage du Maroc.
A l'ouest se trouve le lac Iriki, un lac asséché désormais classé parc national d'Iriqui depuis 1994.
Auparavant, les caravanes de chameaux traversaient le désert jusqu'à la capitale malienne de Tombouctou, le voyage durait environ cinquante jours.
Tâche :
Il existe plusieurs campings dans le désert où vous pouvez passer la nuit. Avant que le soleil ne se couche, grimpez sur l'une des dunes et prenez une photo avec le coucher du soleil. Ou attendez le lever du soleil dans le désert le matin et photographiez-le avec vous. Ou trouvez un endroit que vous aimez dans le désert et prenez une photo avec vous. C'est à vous de décider.
