Geocache Description:

This Virtual cache brings you to the site of the R. W. Lindholm Service Station in Cloquet, which was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Frank Lloyd Wright was an American architect who designed more than 1,000 structures over a creative period of 70 years. Wright played a key role in the architectural movements of the twentieth century, influencing architects worldwide through his works and mentoring hundreds of apprentices. Wright believed in designing in harmony with humanity and the environment. This Service Station was built in 1958 and is the only Service Station built to a Wright design during his lifetime. The R. W. Lindholm Service Station was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 11,1985, for its architectural significance.
