Welcome to Barbados, the most easterly of the Caribbean islands!
After being honored by being given one of these limited releases of virtual caches, I thought Barbados would be a great place to celebrate the virtual cache by placing it as a welcome cache for cruise passengers and as my first international cache! My wife and I visited Barbados while on a Caribbean cruise during February, 2024.
Barbados was originally inhabited by Carib and Arawak Native Americans. By 1650, it was the world's number one sugar producer and colonized by the English in the 17th century. The island nation achieved full independence from the United Kingdom on November 30, 1966. Barbados is the oldest continuing parliamentary democracy ouside England. Barbados is technically an Atlantic island, but is mostly associated with the Caribbean and is ranked as one of the leading tourist destinations in the Caribbean Sea.
To complete this virtual cache, you will need to look at the Barbados Welcome sign at the cruise port before your leave the cruise port or on your return. You will need to count certain objects on each letter on the Barbados sign and record how many are on each letter.

Once you think you have gathered all 8 numbers, write it as an eight digit number with no commas and send the number to the cache owner either by email OR by the message center, both can be found by looking at my profile.
(Optional) Take a photo of yourself from any Barbados site you visited or from this Barbados Welcome sign (try to obscure a letter or two).
Happy caching and enjoy Barbados
