Geocache Description:

Mercy Hospital Joplin, formerly known as St. John's Regional Medical Center, is a hospital in Joplin, Missouri, USA. The hospital is famous for suffering devastating damage in the 2011 Joplin tornado. The original storm-ravaged building was demolished in 2013. Following a succession of temporary structures, the hospital reopened in a new location in 2015. The damaged hospital was torn down and replaced with this beautiful Mercy Park.

At ground zero, you are standing in approximately the same location as the above photo. There used to be a parking lot here for the hospital. It is now a beautiful park filled with water features and sculptures from artists in the area. Enjoy the beauty after destruction.

To claim this virtual find, attach a selfie of yourself with the water and fountains in the background. Or you can find the flat utility box on the ground at GZ and send me the name of the utility service (water, gas, or electric).
