Geocache Description:

The Sea Breeze area in Irondequoit, NY is home to Parkside Whispering Pines Miniature Golf Course. Parkside Whispering Pines is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the oldest miniature golf course still in use in the United States. Parkside was once known as Tall Maples Miniature Golf Course and was built in 1930. The course was built from fossil stone purchased from out west during the miniature golf boom. The first documented miniature golf course was the nine-hole Ladies' Putting Green in Scotland, UK which was established in 1867 and remains open to this day.
