The summer of 2024 a group of community volunteers (including a couple of geocachers) built a replica of Florida's First Capitol. While this is not the original location, it is fairly close - less than 1/2 mile north. All year Tallahassee has been celebrating the Bicentinnial of it's founding as Florida's capitol. In order to claim this virtual, you must take a picture of yourself or some personal item with one of the log cabin signs in the background (there are 3 to choose from) or on the porch.
The cabin is open most Saturdays 9am to noon and most Sundays 1pm to 4pm. There are docents to fill you in on the history of Tallahassee. You do not have to go inside to claim this virtual.
