I realize that Geocaching and Adventure Labs has brought MANY people to this AMAZING testament to the American Spirit- but quite frankly, you should not need a reason to visit this- there is something new, enlightening, powerful and awe-inspiring EVERY time I come here!
It is said that Geocaching is a type of "scavenger hunt", well, this Virtual is no different. There are 2 requirements to logging this Virtual Cache:
1) Take a selfie OR a picture with a peice of paper and your caching name (i,e, salz69) with your favorite monument in the background and post it in your log or with the answers sent to me.
2) ANSWER these 3 questions- all can be found in the beige timeline stones along the walking path throughout the memorial as seen below
DO NOT post the answers in your log!!! Answers are to be sent to me!!!
QUESTIONS:
A) Locate the 1941 timeline stone- 4 stones to the left. What was sunk by a Nazi Sub?
B) Locate the 1963 timeline stone- 6 stones to the right. What did the Geneva Accord recognize on July 23, 1962?
C) Locate the 2003 timeline stone- 2 stones to the right. What was lost February 1?
There is a reason for the 2.5 difficulty, a little legwork and hunting is involved, but do yourself a favor- soak in and experience the true VALOR that this memorial offers. As always, experiences and feelings while here are very welcome in your log. Logs not meeting the criteria/answers will be deleted. If group photo is used, please explain which one you are in the picture. Enjoy!
