Tanger Bicentennial Gardens, in Greensboro, North Carolina, was created in 1976 to recognize and honor the 200th anniversary of the United States of America. This 7.5 acre area features a variety of artistic and historical sculptures in addition to the many different plants and shrubs. Annuals, perennials, flowering trees and canopy trees grow throughout the grounds.
Benches, picnic tables, and paved walkways are provided for the visitors to enjoy. Additionally, the Caldwell Old Mill, a wedding gazebo, a rain garden, a sensory garden and a man-made circulating stream provides a relaxing retreat. Dogs are welcome in specified areas and are required to be on a leash. The Tanger Bicentennial Gardens is open year-round and admission is free.
