Welcome to the churchyard of St Mary's Church, a regular looking set of graves in a pretty litttle town full of independent shops and tea rooms. All isn't quite what it seems though, for as legend has it, a long time ago it's said that a certain Dr William Mead was peddling a special potion around these parts and when he died his good lady wife wanted to continue his trade.
At GZ you are looking for his headstone, uniquely obvious when you find it. Although the inscription is badly worn you should just be able to make out 'William Mead M.D. who departed this life on the 28th day of October, 1652...'
