Otavassa Röppään kartanon peltojen keskellä kohoaa tuulimylly, jota pidetään syystäkin Otavan maamerkkinä.Tämä on tuulimyllyjen kehittynein malli, mamsellimylly. Se toimii kääntyen tuulen suuntaan, mutta siinä erikseen liikkuva yläosa on laakeroitu alaosaan, jonka kanssa se muodostaa yhtenäisen ääriviivoiltaan leningin kaltaisen rakennelman. Mamsellimyllyt ovat itä-Suomessa harvinaisia.
1820-luvulla rakennettu mylly on seisonut jykevästi paikallaan arviolta 200 vuotta. Se toimi kotitarvemyllynä kunnes vaurioitui 1920-luvulla myrskyssä käyttökelvottomaksi. Kuusikymmentä vuotta mylly oli käyttämättömänä, kunnes Otava-seura kunnosti sen toimintakuntoon 1986.
Kesällä v. 2023 mylly sai uuden perinteisellä tyylillä rakennetun pärekaton.

In Otava, in the middle of the fields of the Röppää manor, rises a handsome windmill, which is considered Otava's landmark for a reason. This is the most advanced model of windmill, the mamselli mill. It works by turning in the direction of the wind, but the upper part, which moves separately, is supported by the lower part, with which it forms a single, dress-like structure. Mamselli mills are rare in eastern Finland.The "mamselli" built in the 1820s has stood solidly in place for an estimated 200 years. The mill served as a household mill until it was damaged in a storm in the 1920s and became unusable. For sixty years the mill was unused, until the Otava society restored it to working condition in 1986. In the summer of 2023, the mill got a new gable roof built in a traditional style.
