GPS Reference point in 2002
Back in 2009 I found a geocache hidden in this area. GCBA53 Tamarack Cache hidden by Scook. His cache page listed coordinates to GPS Reference Point (2). Back then I used a Garmin Etrex GPSr. Now I see two GPS Reference Points are here. The Reference Points have been placed by the Michigan Society of Professional Surveyors and Cabela's.
Currently, i am using a Galaxy A13 smartphone. My phone had +/- 8 feet error and my results were about 30 feet difference. Results will vary. Have fun!!!
GPS Reference Point 2024
Logging Requirements:
1) Go to posted coordinates GPS Reference Point (1). Take a reading with your GPSr or smartphone. Post your results in your found it log.
2) Go to GPS Reference Point (2) [waypoint 3]. Take a reading with your GPSr or smartphone. Post your results in your found it log.
3) Post a photo of either yourself, or a signature item, at either posted coordinates, Waypoint 3, or Waypoint 4.
Note: All found it logs must have a photo, and coordinate results. No group result posts.
