This virtual cache requires a 1- to 1.25-mile roundtrip walk to a nice gazebo/bird blind, mostly level but on a little uneven surface. Email or message us with answers to these questions:

Snag Boat Bend is a unit of the William L. Finley National Wildlife Refuge located just south of the community of Peoria on the east side of the Willamette River. The forests at the refuge provide essential habitat for migratory, neotropical songbirds, and the backwater slough creates slow-water habitat for native salmon and trout. There is a boardwalk that transitions to a grassy open trail leading to Lake Creek slough. Continue along Lake Creek slough to the blind. After visiting the blind, you can continue along the field and out to the Willamette River, or turn around and loop back and return along a well maintained gated gravel road (or do the whole thing in reverse!)
This area is open dawn to dusk, and there's no fee! If it has been raining, you probably want to wear shoes that are good in the wet.
