The "0" kilometer stone sculpture symbolizes the starting point of the kilometer numbering of main roads starting from Budapest.
The creation of Miklós Borsos, the three-meter-high limestone statue standing on an 80 cm pedestal, was inaugurated in Clark Ádám Square in 1975.
The sculpture forms a regular typographic 0 character and has only two letters on it: "KM" as an abbreviation for kilometer.
The kilometers of single-digit highways in Hungary are calculated from here (with the exception of highway 1 starting from the BAH junction and highway 8 starting in Székesfehérvár).
The symbolic starting point of the road network was originally at the threshold of the royal palace, from where it was moved to its current location when the Chain Bridge was built.
At the beginning of the 20th century, Pál Festetics proposed the visualization of the starting point of the transport network.
Jenő Körmendi-Frim's marble statue depicting the Madonna (Patrona Hungariae), on the pedestal of which three figures (a pedestrian, a charioteer and a driver) appeared in relief.
The statue, which was damaged during the Second World War, was demolished.
In 1953, László Molnár's sculpture depicting a worker and a car wheel was erected on the site of today's "0" kilometer stone.
In 1974, it was moved to the XVII. district, to the Rákoshegy railway station.

A „0” kilométerkő szobor a Budapestről induló főutak kilométer-számozásának kezdőpontját szimbolizálja.
A Clark Ádám téren 1975-ben avatták fel Borsos Miklós alkotását, a 80 cm-es talapzaton álló, három méter magas mészkőszobrot. A szobor szabályos tipográfiai 0 karaktert formáz meg, és mindössze két betű van rajta: „KM”, mint a kilométer rövidítése. Innen számítják a Magyarország egy számjegyű főútvonalainak kilométereit (a BAH-csomóponttól induló 1-es és a Székesfehérváron kezdődő 8-as főút kivételével).

Körmendi-Frim Jenő Madonnát (Patrona Hungariae) ábrázoló márványszobra, amelynek talapzatán három alak (egy gyalogos, egy kocsis és egy autóvezető) domborműve jelent meg. A második világháború alatt megsérült szobrot lebontották.
A mai „0” kilométerkő helyén 1953-ban állították fel Molnár László egy munkást és egy autókereket ábrázoló szobrát. Ezt 1974-ben áthelyezték a XVII. kerületbe, a rákoshegyi vasútállomáshoz.

Die Erschaffung von Miklós Borsos, der drei Meter hohen Kalksteinstatue auf einem 80 cm hohen Sockel, wurde 1975 auf dem Clark-Ádám-Platz eingeweiht.
Die Skulptur bildet ein regelmäßiges typografisches 0-Zeichen und trägt nur zwei Buchstaben darauf: „KM“ als Abkürzung für Kilometer.
Von hier aus werden die Kilometer der einstelligen Autobahnen in Ungarn berechnet (mit Ausnahme der Autobahn 1 ab der Kreuzung BAH und der Autobahn 8 ab Székesfehérvár).
Der symbolische Ausgangspunkt des Straßennetzes befand sich ursprünglich an der Schwelle des Königspalastes, von wo es beim Bau der Kettenbrücke an seinen heutigen Standort verlegt wurde.
Zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts schlug Pál Festetics die Visualisierung des Ausgangspunkts des Verkehrsnetzes vor.

1. In your log, enter how many kilometers from your home the 0 kilometer stone is. If you do not want to reveal your exact residence, it is enough to count from the center of the settlement. 2. Enter in your log from home how you traveled to the cache and how many kilometers it was. E.g.: if you came on foot, then 5 km on foot, if by taxi to the airport, then by plane, and from there by public transport, then taxi, plane, public transport 1745 Km.
3. Take a picture of yourself with the statue. (Pictures of any personal item, your GPS device or your nickname with the current date are also accepted.)
Shoe toe, 1-2 fingers in the picture are not accepted! On the one hand, it is not identifiable, and on the other hand, I consider it undemanding. Such logs, logs without images and logs without answers will be deleted without warning!

1. A logodba írd be otthonodtól hány Km-re van a 0 kilométerkő. Amennyiben nem akarod a pontos lakhelyed felfedni elég ha a település központjától számolod. (Amennyiben megadtad a geocachingbe a lakhelyed a ládaoldal tetején látod is hány Km.-re laksz tőle légvonalban.)
2. A logodba írd be otthonról mivel érkeztél a ládához és úgy hány Km lett a táv. Pl.: ha gyalog jöttél akkor gyalog 5 km., ha taxival a repülőtérre, majd repülővel, onnan meg tömegközlekedéssel akkor taxi, repülő, tömegközlekedés 1745 Km.
3. Készíts egy képet magadról a szoborral. (Személyes tárgyak, GPS, nicknév dátummal akár kézre írva is elfogadásra kerül, ha nem akarsz rajta megjelenni)
Cipőorr, 1-2 ujj a képen nem felel meg! Egyrészt az nem azonosítható, másrészt én azt igénytelennek tartom. Az iyen logok, a kép nélküli logok és a válaszok nélküli logok figyelmeztetés nélkül törlésre kerülnek!
