Eveyones loves a hometown hero
and Morgantown is home of one of the best!
Television has certainly come a long way, as has the content that we call entertainment-not always in the best direction, I might add. During the 60's we were introduced to Andy and Barney on the Andy Griffth Show. One of the things I most appeciate about this series is that it not only made you laugh, but it also taught good morals and ethics to young and old alike.
Don Knott's was a key charcter in the series most of the time that it ran. Morgantown is proud to be able to say he is one of our own.
