Light Pyramid - Liliane Lijn (2012)
This is one of my favourite locations across Milton Keynes, with great views of the city centre skyline to the south, and stunning views extending across the north of the Milton Keynes county, and across the border into Bedfordshire. Commissioned in 2012 to replace the original basket beacon, after it was hit by lighting in 2002 and had to be removed. The Light Pyramid is still lit to commemorate special local and national events. Situated in the heart of the Grade II listed Campbell Park, the surrounding area is very popular locally and sees hundreds of thousands of visitors visit for events and leisure, and was even home to mega:MK, Milton Keynes UK Mega 2023. This area was selected over some of my other favourite areas due to the high muggle footfall, and open area surrounding it making it impossible to have a geocache nearer this iconic artwork. The terrain rating has been set to reflect accessing it from lower in the park, but can also be accessed from higher paths which are more wheelchair accessible.
To log this geocache you will need to take a photo of yourself, your geocaching name, or something of yours at the Light Pyramid and include it in your log. You do not need to include your face if you do not wish to. Logs without photos will be deleted.
