The Florida Citrus Tower was built in 1956 and is one of Florida's first "attractions". Once surrounded by citrus groves, the view from the top of the tower was magnificent. Although the groves are gone, mostly replaced by homes and businesses, the view from the top is still spectracular. It is told that on a clear day you can see the coast from the top. Rides to the top can be purchased, and they host many special events throughout the year. Rocket launch viewing, and the annual Christmas lights are local favorites. Currently there is a little coffee shop and a small area with historical pieces from years past. Hope you enjoy this authentic roadside attraction.
