Der Buschberg ist mit seinen 491 Metern der höchste Berg der Leiser Berge und darüber hinaus des gesamten Weinviertels. Der Name Buschberg leitet sich von dem althochdeutschen Wort „pusk“ (Beule) ab. Man sieht von ihm an klaren Tagen über das ganze Wiener Becken bis zu den südlich der Donau liegenden Bergen Schneeberg und Rax.
In der Nähe des Gipfels ist die mit 484 Metern am tiefsten gelegene Hütte des Österreichischen Alpenvereins. Am Gipfel befindet sich eine Radarstation der Austro Control zur Überwachung der zivilen Luftfahrt in ganz Ostösterreich.

Hier findest du die Holzskulptur „Jahreszeiten Sonnenuhr“ des Künstlers Harry Raab mit Keramikelementen von Georg Olbrich. Beide wohnen im nahegelegenen Ort Niederleis. Auf der Skulptur findest du einen Spruch zum Thema „Natur“. Nimm das letzte Wort dieses Spruchs als Antwort 1.
WP 2: N 48 34.623 E 016 23.830
Im September 2022 wurde hier die neu errichtete Franz von Assisi-Kapelle geweiht und ihrer Bestimmung übergeben. Am Turm der Kapelle befindet sich ein Mosaik mit der Darstellung des Heiligen. Aus ca. wie vielen farbig glasierten Steinen besteht dieses Mosaik? Nimm die Anzahl als Antwort 2.
Keine Angst, du musst sie nicht zählen, die richtige Zahl findest du auf einer Informationstafel ganz in der Nähe.
WP 3: N 48 34.596 E 016 23.757
Du stehst nun vor der Einfahrt zur „Mittelbereichsradaranlage Buschberg“. Links findest du ein Schild mit einigen Angaben. Notiere dir die Zahl des Durchmessers der Schutzkuppel als Antwort 3.
WP 4: N 48 34.505 E 016 23.777
Da sich am Gipfel des Buschbergs die Radarstation befindet, gibt es dort leider kein Gipfelkreuz. Ein Kreuz findest du aber hier am sogenannten „Kahlen Berg“. Genieße die herrliche Aussicht von hier und mache ein Foto von dir oder einem persönlichen Gegenstand, auf dem auch das Kreuz zu sehen ist. Dieses Foto füge bitte deinem Online-Log an. Über weitere Bilder deines Ausflugs würde ich mich freuen.

At 491 meters, the Buschberg is the highest mountain in the Leiser Berge and the entire Weinviertel region. The name Buschberg is derived from the Old High German word “pusk” (bump). On a clear day on Buschberg, you can see across the entire Vienna Basin to the Schneeberg and Rax mountains south of the Danube.
Near the summit is the lowest hut of the Austrian Alpine Club at 484 meters. There is an Austro Control radar station at the summit for monitoring civil aviation throughout eastern Austria.

Here you will find the wooden sculpture “Seasons Sundial” by artist Harry Raab with ceramic elements by Georg Olbrich. Both live in the nearby village of Niederleis and on the sculpture you will find a saying on the theme of “Nature”. Take the last word of this saying as answer 1.
WP 2: N 48 34.623 E 016 23.830
In September 2022, the newly built St. Francis of Assisi Chapel was consecrated here and handed over for its intended purpose. There is a mosaic depicting the saint on the tower of the chapel. How many colored glazed stones does this mosaic consist of? Take the number as the answer 2.
Don't worry, you don't have to count them, you will find the correct number on an information board nearby.
WP 3: N 48 34.596 E 016 23.757
You are now standing in front of the entrance to the “Mittelbereichradaranlage Buschberg”. On the left you will find a sign with some information. Write down the number of the diameter of the protective dome as answer 3.
WP 4: N 48 34.505 E 016 23.777
As the radar station is located at the summit of the Buschberg, there is unfortunately no summit cross there. However, you will find a cross here on the so-called “Kahlen Berg”. Enjoy the wonderful view from here and take a photo of yourself or a personal object on which the cross can also be seen. Please attach this photo to your online log. I would be delighted to receive further pictures of your excursion.
