Geocache Description:

This one's for pcc322 - haven't seen him for ages, hope he's still having fun with streetcars!  This Virtual Cache will bring you to two of the more historic and scenic structures in Como Park - the streetcar station and the pedestrian bridge that went over the tracks. "Laying new tracks for streetcars was expensive. To justify the investment, TCRTC wanted the system to be busy on weekends and holidays, not just during the week when commuters kept cars full. To encourage recreational travel, the company promoted "streetcarring"—using the streetcar system for sightseeing and recreation."

To count this as a find:  At posted coordinates, there is a historical marker/sign titled "The Melan Arch."  E-mail answers to the CO for the following questions. Be complete, include your geoname, and of course, no answers in posts please.

1) What is the name of the person mentioned on the sign as a "go-getter in engineering."

2) The first Melan Arch bridge in the United States was built near which city?

The streetcar station hosts events (weddings, receptions) so the small parking lot may be full at times, but the sign is adjacent to the public sidewalk, enjoy Como Park!
